Investigation’s issuance of the arrest warrant

ตามที่พนักงานสอบสวนคดีพิเศษ (ดีเอสไอ) ได้ขอออกหมายจับพระเทพญาณมหามุนี วัดพระธรรมกายขอเรียนชี้แจงดังนี้

Wat Phra Dhammakaya would like to make a public statement in respect to the arrest warrant from the Department of Special Investigation (DSI):   

1. พระเทพญาณมหามุนี (หลวงพ่อธัมมชโย) เคารพกระบวนการยุติธรรมและยินดีปฏิบัติตามขั้นตอนของกฎหมาย

1. Phrathepyanmahamuni (Luang Por Dhammajayo) truly respects the judicial process and will completely adhere to all legal procedures.

2. ขณะนี้พระเทพญาณมหามุนีท่านอาพาธต้องนอนพักฟื้นอยู่ที่วัดพระธรรมกาย ไม่ได้หลบหนีไปที่ใดทั้งสิ้น โดยอายุและภาวะสุขภาพของท่านซึ่งอ่อนแอมากก็ไม่สามารถเดินทางไกลได้ ท่านจึงไม่เคยเดินทางออกจากวัดมาเป็นเวลา 8 ปีแล้ว ไม่ใช่มาแกล้งป่วยในช่วงนี้ ถ้าไม่ใช่อาพาธมากจริงๆคงไม่มีใครไม่เดินทางออกนอกวัดเลยถึง 8 ปีอย่างนี้ ที่มีบางท่านปล่อยข่าวว่าท่านจะหลบหนีไปต่างประเทศนั้น               จึงไม่เป็นความจริงโดยสิ้นเชิง เพราะถ้าฝืนเดินทางไปอย่างนั้นท่านก็คงมรณภาพกลางทาง  ไม่มีประโยชน์ใดๆทั้งสิ้น

2. At this time, Phrathepyanmahamuni is ill, and is recuperating at Wat Phra Dhammakaya. He has not fled anywhere. His age and poor health prevents him from travelling long distances. He has not left the temple’s premises for the past 8 years, which demonstrates that Phrathepyanmahamuni was not feigning illness. It is extremely unlikely that anyone would stay within temple grounds without traveling outside for 8 years, unless they were extremely ill. Certain individuals have misled the public with false rumors that he plans to flee to another country. This is completely false because travelling may jeopardize his health and worsen his frail condition.

3. อาการหลอดเลือดดดำอุดตันทั้งสายหลักและสายรองที่ขาซ้ายของท่านเป็นมาก จนกระทั่งเมื่อลุกขึ้นนั่งเพียงเวลาสั้นๆ 3-4 นาที ขาก็จะบวมมากขึ้นตามลำดับและปวดมาก เพราะเมื่ออยู่ในท่านั่งหลอดเลือดดำบริเวณขาหนีบก็จะถูกกดทับเพิ่มขึ้นไปอีก ทำให้เลือดไหลกลับสู่หัวใจได้ยากขึ้น ต้องนอนยกขาสูงกว่าระดับหัวใจเพื่อประคับประคองอาการ ขนาดเส้นรอบวงของโคนขาซ้าย = 86 ซม. โคนขาขวา = 46 ซม. ใหญ่กว่ากันเกือบ 2 เท่า

3. Phrathepyanmahamuni has a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in the left common femoral vein and a chronic deep vein thrombosis at the proximal left superficial femoral vein.  When he sits up for only 3-4 minutes, his leg becomes very swollen and painful due to increased pressure in the inner groin area, making it difficult for blood to return to the heart.  Now Phrathepyanmahamuni must lie flat with his lower extremities elevated above the heart level to reduce swelling and pain. The circumference of the left upper thigh is about 86 cm, while the right thigh is only 46 cm.  The left leg is almost twice the size of the right leg.

4. วัดพระธรรมกายไม่มีนโยบายจะใช้พลังมวลชนมาต่อต้านกระบวนการทางกฎหมาย ดังจะเห็นได้จากขณะที่มีการออกหมายจับ มีผู้นำอุบาสิกาแก้วจำนวน 50,000 กว่าคนมาปฏิบัติธรรมอยู่ที่วัดพระธรรมกาย ทุกคนก็สวดมนต์นั่งสมาธิตามปกติ เมื่อเสร็จงานวันวิสาขบูชา ต่างก็เดินทางกลับภูมิลำเนาตามกำหนดการ

4. Wat Phra Dhammakaya does not have a policy of using the power of the masses for resistance. During the period when the arrest warrant was issued, 50,000 Crystal Upasikas came to Wat Phra Dhammakaya and participated peacefully in chanting and meditation. When the Visakha Puja event ended, all participants returned to their previous routines.

5. เพื่อให้กระบวนการทางกฎหมายสามารถดำเนินไปได้ด้วยความเรียบร้อย พระเทพญาณมหามุนี จะได้มีหนังสือแจ้งไปทางราชการว่า ท่านได้รับทราบเรื่องหมายจับแล้ว และขณะนี้ท่านพักรักษาตัวอยู่ที่วัดพระธรรมกายจึงแจ้งมายังเจ้าพนักงานสอบสวนคดีพิเศษได้เดินทางมาแจ้งข้อกล่าวหาได้ 

5. In order for the judicial process to proceed smoothly, Phrathepyanmahamuni will submit a letter to the governmental body to acknowledge that the arrest warrant has been issued. Since he is currently recovering at Wat Phra Dhammakaya, the letter will inform DSI that they are welcome to conduct the hearing of charges on the Wednesday,25th May 2016 without having to wait for the deadline of 26th May 2016 as previously stated to the media by DSI. The temple will provide every convenience to the DSI officials, consulting prosecutor, and press who will be here to provide news coverage. There will be no obstruction in any way.  

6. เมื่อพนักงานสอบสวนได้แจ้งข้อกล่าวหาตามขั้นตอนของกฎหมายแล้ว กระบวนการยุติธรรมก็จะได้ดำเนินไปตามลำดับอีกหลายขั้นตอน ทั้งดีเอสไอ อัยการ ศาล ซึ่งพระเทพญาณมหามุนีมั่นใจในความบริสุทธิ์ของท่านว่าจะได้รับความยุติธรรมจากกระบวนการยุติธรรมในที่สุด

6. Once DSI officials conduct a hearing of the charges as required by legal procedure, the judicial process can move forward according to the protocol of DSI, the prosecutor, and the court. Phrathepyanmahamuni believes he is innocent and that he will receive true justice from the judicial system.

7.การร่วมมือกันแก้ไขสถานการณ์ให้กระบวนการตามกฎหมายสามารถดำเนินไปได้ด้วยความเรียบร้อยเช่นนี้ เป็นไปตามหลักนิติรัฐ นิติธรรม และเป็นผลดีต่อความสงบเรียบร้อยของบ้านเมืองตามนโยบายของรัฐบาลมากที่สุด ดีกว่าการที่ต่างฝ่ายต่างถือทิฐิดึงดัน จนกระทั่งถึงกำหนดวันที่ 26 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ.2559 แล้ว เจ้าหน้าที่นำกำลังจำนวนมากพร้อมรถหุ้มเกราะบุกมาตรวจค้นจับตัวท่าน ซึ่งศิษยานุศิษย์จำนวนมากก็ย่อมเป็นห่วงและเดินทางมารวมตัวกันที่วัด หากมีมือที่สามสอดแทรกเข้ามาก็อาจทำให้เหตุการณ์บานปลายได้ เสียหายต่อภาพลักษณ์ของรัฐบาลและประเทศชาติไปทั่วโลก

7. This cooperation to help the judicial process move forward smoothly follows the nation’s Rule of Law. It is also in accordance to the goals of the government, which is to maintain peace and order. It is more beneficial for us to work together than separately until the 26th of May, when officials plan to bring a large number of troops with armoured vehicles to prepare for an arrest of the Abbot by force. A large number of followers and supporters have been expressing deep concerns about these planned forces and have naturally traveled to the temple. Any intervention by a third party would result in a less than desireable outcome, damaging the government’s reputation and the reputation of the kingdom of Thailand in the eyes of the world.
